Healing Softness of Shea Butter

This butter leaves my skin soft and velvety even though I'm 73! It took the red and sting out overnight from a bad sunburn I got on my forearms when gardening. My only complaint is it does not have a nice fragrance like cocoa butter or coconut oil - I even wondered if it might be rancid but thankfully the odor does not linger and it works wonders.

Hi Frances. Thank you for your review of the raw Shea butter. Shea butter is an amazing skin conditioner and healer. I love it! However, Shea butter has a very strong odor. Some find it pleasant, others find it too strong. I only sell it pure and unrefined. Some sellers will offer it deodorized, but I prefer it to be as natural as possibe. The shelf life of Shea butter is 12 -24 months. I assure you, your Shea butter is not rancid. I believe it is the natural odor you are finding offensive. You may want to try deodorized next time and see if you prefer it.
